ContextThe United Nations World Food Program (WFP) is the leading humanitarian organization saving lives and changing lives, providing food assistance in emergencies and working with communities to improve nutrition and build resilience around the world. In the states of Amazonas, Anzoátegui, Apure, Táchira and Zulia (Sur del Lago), WFP through its Country Office in Venezuela will implement different modalities of assistance community food. The service to be contracted will allow the delivery of a family basket composed of basic dry foods (cereals, grains, oil and salt) to prioritized communities in these states, with the potential to include fresh foods in Amazonas and Táchira. Therefore, with the objective of ensuring efficient contracting of services, WFP considers it pertinent to publish this Expression of Interest (EOI) in order to identify qualified suppliers for the supply of “Food Provision, Preparation and Transportation Service to Communities”.
